The wrench is not a loose fit. I was doing an awkward overhead fasteners and I had to align carefully to the fastener. It was a water line connection. I did not mic the fastener to see if it was a bit oversize
Yeah mine are very tight fitting as well, open and box end. They’re not really “daily driver” wrenches in my opinion.

Agree. I actually think a lifetime warranty is a (very) false economy here if you aren't swinging wrenches for a living.

Maybe. There are so many companies that offer easy lifetime warranty, it’s not like you have to go out of your way or pay extra to obtain it (tool trucks notwithstanding).

Sometimes a tool just breaks and if it’s not sold as a single, you’d have to rebuy the whole set. That’s a lousy experience to deal with as a paying customer.

Totally agree. Those Craftsman OD's are the USAG/RBRT/SBD wrenches, which are really tight. Definitely special purpose tools.

I don't go out of my way, warranty or not. Warranty does have costs built in.

It's often a wash to simply have Amazon drop a new GearWrench on my doorstep the next day versus going somewhere to get a warranty or dealing with the people. Time and gasoline have real value.

Honestly though, as annoying as it was, I really really did not want to mess up the fitting which is one reason I used them.
