After watching a few videos online, I noticed one way people were detecting a head gasket leak was with a combustion leak detector. Which is basically a tube you fill with a blue liquid and attach it to the radiator. Then you pump air into the fluid until it either stays blue or changes yellow which indicates combustion gases leaking into the cooling system. My question is. Has anyone on here used one before?

I have one, and have used it several times. So far it appears to work for me. Found a blown head gasket on the first use.

I have one and really like it. I use it probably more then needed just because I have it. If I have any signs or symptoms of a blown head gasket I will pull it out just to check. I have the one you pictured with the two separate chambers which is nice because it's more accurate and less chance of contamination by sucking up fluid. Think it was a few more bucks then the lisle version but worth it in my opinion.

I have one and it has come in handy on a couple of occasions. Usually when friends tell me "no, it doesn't have a blown headgasket".

Mine is actually in 3 pieces though.
