Comfort grip ratchet opinions

Recently I bought Proto ratchets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 all with the "comfort handles". The 3/8 and 1/2 I bought in a couple different lengths.

The 1/4 ratchet I am not too impressed with ( I like the mac and snap-on comfort grips better) but the 3/8 and 1/2 have quickly become my favorite goto ratchets.

What do you guys think of "comfort grip ratchets"?

I have a Facom and I have really enjoyed it BUT its not very ergonomic handle so I stick with my SK's ratchets

I have a Snap-On comfort grip in a 3/8" standard length. Definitely my go-to ratchet. I feel I can break bolts loose much easier and get them much tighter and my hands don't hurt as much after a day of wrenching. For messier jobs or tight areas I go for the normal chrome handle.

Chrome handles are nice because they clean up nicely and they dont retain any smells. The one thing I have noticed with comfort handles is that they hang on to the gasoline smell for a few days. Comfort handles are nice as long as your holding them the way they were meant to be held.

I use all chrome handles. i have one comfort grip and they all feel kinda cheesey to me. If you're that uncomfortable, wear gloves.

i have the snappys 3/8 regular and flex. i use them when needed which is almost always. i just hate useing inferior tools. yes i have craftsman and many others but i prefer these so that justifies the cost in my opinion. for those of you who dont like it then buy me a ratchet that you think is better and then i'll decide if your right. but i dont have the time or money to do that kind of research. my father and grandfather have both trusted snappy and now many of grammpys snappys are mine. i can feel the difference and so can my hands. TO EACH THEIR OWN.

I've always been a traditionalist for most things. Guess that goes for tools. Comfort grip wrenches just don't "seem right" to me. I feel the same way about "ergonomic" pliers. I am slowly coming around to the comfort grip screwdrivers though. JMO.

I'm completely on the fence with this one. I kinda prefer the comfort grips but like that my chrome ratchets always look nice and clean.
