I use the Snap On soft grip ratcheting, and Snap On hard handle regular screwdrivers. I find them very comfortable.

On the soft grip, it's even more comfortable, if you take the end cap off, but you then loose the storage capability of the screwdriver.

The screwdriver I reach for first is Facom's Ergotwist. Unlike Garage Mahal, I have small hands yet the Ergotwist still feels perfect :). The enlarged ball shape on the end of the handle is great for preventing cam-out when cupping it with the palm of your hands while using the other hand to rotate the screwdriver. The squared profile directly below the ball is large enough to generate a good deal of torque without slippage or discomfort from the hands. The tips of the Ergotwist also fit better in a greater number of fasteners then the other brands I own.

I also like Felo's Ergonic screwdrivers. The handles are very very soft and squishy . I can squeeze the handles as hard as I can and feel no discomfort at all! The handle is slightly smaller than average, but the bolster gives you the option to use a wrench to really lay down some serious rotational force. The Ergonic drivers are also prime candidates for those who work in the cooler weather too. I work at an Ice rink where it is 20-40* year round, and these drivers have been very forgiving on my hands :)

Toptul's screwdrivers are also great in terms of ergonomics and fit. In my opinion they rank right up there with the other brands others and I have mentioned. They come in a variety of sizes (shaft length, tip size, etc.) and wont break the bank either. Given their fit, finish, and price... I think they have the best price to performance ratio.

Here is a review I wrote about Toptul's screwdrivers.

Oh man! To each his own I guess. I bought a pair of those Felo Ergonic and returned them the next day due to the overly squishy handles. I couldn't abide them.

Don't forget about me, i have been trying to find those acetate drivers for some time, all ways come up south africa.

Exactly. I'm assuming that they make some sort of mixed slot + phillips set.

I'll bet you could sell 10 sets here.

I saw a set of Felo's a few months ago and picked them up. No idea what model - they have a black and red handle. I've never had a better set of screwdrivers.

makes me wonder how I got along all those years with the Craftsman 29 pc set or the cheapo stanley's.

Which reminds me: For my small "crash toolkit" I bought a really cheap Stanley 4 way screwdriver - and I like it almost as much as the Felo's. I think it was $4.99.

I like my snapon comfort grip set but dislike the newer instinct grips they have.

I have a set from both Wiha and Wera. The Wera have the Lasertip etching and do seem to "grab" better than anything I have. That said, I still prefer the grip on the Wiha to anything else I have used. The Wera just doesn't fit my hand well and are not comfortable.

Going out on a limb to guess that the OP probably sorted this out 7 years ago...

Funny, how this post is close to 7 years old, but Snap-on is now selling individual old style hard handle screwdrivers, not just sets. My Mac dealer stocks more hard handle screwdrivers than the new Mac-Grip

The handles on Felo Ergonics are fantastic. They're soft, squishy and super grippy. I get LOTS of torque out of them. That being said, the tips are not very durable so I would not recommend them unless you don't mind replacing them frequently (they do have a lifetime warranty).
