I need to wire the opener in my pole shed. Does it need to be a dedicated circuit? can it be plugged into an outlet? It's a 1/3hp Lift Master, hanging from open trusses, attached to a 19'-6" x 12' door.

I have mine on a dedicated circuit, just so I can flip the breaker off when I'm going to be away from the shop for any length of time, that way I remember to remove the lock bar from the door before trying to open it.

Dedicated or general circuit, your choice,if not on it's own definitely put it on a service switch for times when you will be away.
