I was at a going out of business sale with my wife (store called DEB). They were selling everything. They had some cool track light that was fluorescent spot lighting. They were asking $10/fixture but they said it would NOT include the track. Is there a difference in commercial track and homeowner track?

it all depends on the maker and the voltage. Very few homeowners have 240v lighting, some commercial is ...

nice fixture though.

277v.

But yeah take a look on the fixture label, if it's 277v then you will not be able to use it. If it's 120v, swing it by your local electrical supply house and they'll find the right track for you. Might pay higher prices there but you won't go broke on 10' of track. Good luck!

Not the actual lights. I will need to go and look at them to see their rating. If 120V then I will get them. I do not have 277V. Are these ever multi-tap?

Track lighting is 120V or could be a 2 circuit track, the track heads mate to the same brand of track, Halo is very common, Juno, Lightoler, & off breeds, to name a few. Doubt you will find 277V track heads.

my $0.02, I service a few stores with those and I wouldn't take them if they gave them to me. The ballasts are special order, expensive, and don't last that long

I have the same lights -- mine have the chromed diffuser grid. The use/fit standard lightolier track.

They are very nice.

Well, sort of.Your regular T8 2 lamp ballast will light them BX lamps up just fine.As for the track, thousands of feet of it get tossed on a daily basis across north america, shouldn't be hard to grab some for pennies on the dollar.
