Depends on what set you get but the 1-3/16" is not all that common and I can't recall seeing to many 1-3/16" wrenches but that size is made in both wrench and socket. I think I have some dual marked sockets that are 1-3/16"/30mm.

1 3/16" is a common skip, but most tool compaines do make them. I became aware of this very shortly after starting at Deere. Most Deere equipment is held togther by 1 3/16" or 30mm .

1-5/16" is a size that sees actual use. I use it more than 1-1/4". 1-3/16" is most likely (but not certainly) someone using an SAE tool on a 30 mm metric fastener.

1-7/16" is one that is commonly skipped, and from time to time I have found a need for it.

I agree, Deere equipment is the place where I run into the most 1 3/16" nuts and bolts.

1-3/16" is used for some oil pressure sensors.
Sockets sold for that purpose are useful on BMWs which need 30mm thin wall extra-deep sockets in a few places.

I'm tempted to say that also sounds like a 30mm application, but upon further reflection, that seems as dumb as arguing whether something is 3/4" or 19mm...

It seems like a lot of these sizes that get skipped are ones that are extremely close to a size in another unit.

Sometimes I am surprised no one has started offering manufacturer specific sets. Seems like these days you could work on most of them with 4 or 5 sizes if you didn't see a lot of other brands.

I've had a issue lately needing an 18mm socket/wrench and a couple sets at work didn't have them so I had to get one.

I hate sets that skip from 17 to 19.
When you need an 18, only an 18 will do. Skip the 19 if you have to.

I just bought a grab bag at a junk store today and I'm dam sure there was a 1 3/16 socket in there. It was one of the 3 sockets out of the bunch that prompted me to buy the whole bag.
