Compact 70 dehumidifier

Good morning,

I’m in need of a few air filters for my compact 70. I’d like to stay away from the factory 9x11x1 as they are expensive for what it is. Does anyone have a lead on where I may be able to find a suitable substitute?

Found at ace hardware a plastic framed washable electrostatic furnace filter and cut it down for a dehumidifier. Bought a large enough one to make two out of it. Made sheet metal L s and pop riveted the corners.

That’s an awesome idea. Is it at least merv 8? I just want to protect the unit. Idgaf about filtering crawl space air lol.
