Hello, I want some suggestions for tools to put in my back pack. I got stuff to put in their but I cannot list them right now. Please give specific items and links if possible. I would like to keep it on the cheap, so no higher end stuff.
Lots of good cheap tools man, I don't know what you're doing though.
My best **** sockets are performance tool black nickel 3/8" (taiwan); use them all the time...more than my better stuff. These are a rebrand that appeared in stanley and husky form (and others). I paid under 20 for a decent sized set of sae and metric with a composite ratchet.
I think that's the best you can do cheap. You could probably piece together a new set of kd sockets with a decent ratchet for around 35-40 bucks without a problem. Depends on what's acceptable to you.
If you don't use them all the time/use them on low torque craftsman china (less than 20) or kobalt (any) will probably be fine. I see new kobalt danaher small sets for 20 bucks on craigslist and ebay; I don't think the danaher kobalt/craftsman is better than the taiwanese black nickel stuff though. The current kobalt taiwan sets are nice but not cheap unless on clearance.
