I've been searching for this, haven't found it yet. Per forum rules, am i allowed to post company info, and contact info if there is a great place i have found to purchase materials?
I'm not looking to promote specific businesses, however, good customer service and products are hard to come by, and I'd like to share if i can help other Garage Forum members find some good deals/products.
I've been giving this info on a private message basis only as to not rock the boat.
Thanks!

Personally, I'd suggest not. It is bound to look way too close to SPAM and likely result in being banned--especially if you are a new/low post count member.

If someone asks for a specific item/product and you can help, do chime in, but don't just go and make threads because you 'like the company'.

(I'm not connected with GJ in any way other than being a member. My PERSONAL opinion only.)

Nothing against it and it happens right along. Sometimes a company will post up a sales pitch and be called out on it, rightfully so. If your a contributing member of the forum and have good information then by all means pass on the goodness. Its done a lot in the 'hot deals' subgroup. If you have a business then say so, what you do, and be a good member of the group your perty much welcomed. There are also businesses that contribute $ for ad space.

Joe, the above members have given pretty good advice.

We have a few members that basically advertise their business, yet do not pay (as far as I know) to be vendors here. They are careful what they say when they promote it and they provide some very good information to other members or tool giveaways.

Being a good productive member at GJ, goes along way with your reputation.
