U could try a unit converter for iPhone or android or a caliper gauge on nut always will work
And for example a 14mm is closest too a 9/16 (which is more like 14.5mm)

I use a simple one that I made a couple years ago. It is saved as a .doc file so anyone should be able to open and modify it very easily as needed. I also included the chart as a jpeg picture so it can be printed out directly if there is no need to make any modifications. The highlighted sizes are interchangeable sizes between SAE and metric. The chart is customized just for me a little bit as you notice there are a couple 32nds sizes and half metric sizes thrown in there, but those are easy to remove if desired.

I like the charts like the one in toolj's link that include the Whitworth sizes. Makes me appreciate the fact that metric vs SAE isn't all that bad when you consider the complications they must have had before these standards became the norm!

I keep a handwritten chart in my socket drawer I can look at to remind me of the SAE / metric equivalents. As a hobby guy I don't have them all memorized.
