Attached are pics of my completed shed / workshop.

There was some requirements slipage here :) . This project started off
as "I would like to buid a storage shed Dear Wife." Well One year and two
months later it is finished  .

It was built by myself with help of my dear wife  and friends. We did everything ourselves from digging the foundation to the roofing. Everything was a learning experience as I had never built anything like this before. Now the garage is cleared out a bit and I can started organizing that better. I plan to use this space for storage and woodworking.

- Size 12 x 22 ft (Anything larger would require a building permit and this size is NOT taxed by the Tax Man)
- Front Door 8 x 8 ft
- Front Door Cane bolts in the floor opens from inside only
- Fully Insulated
- Subpanel Feed (6 20 AMP 120 circuits, 3 30 AMP 220 Circuits)
- Speaker wire in the walls
- 3 Cat 5 feeds (Phone, intercom, future)
- 1 Coax Feed (future)
- Exhaust Fan on back wall with exclosure sealing it up
- 2 outsie vents and 1 condensate pipe (reaer wall) for future Portable AC
- 6 4ft work lights (free from salvage)
- Attic Storage space above with pull down steps

Now time for some inside projets for the wife

I just gotta ask, can't help myself.
Why in the world would you hike up those stairs with 40+ lb bags of Scotts?

Must have got a deal or something as most just buy and spread as needed, not store. :headscrat

Nice little shop though.

Great looking shed, your yard tools will be happier than most people's cars!

Did you make the plans yourself or did you buy it as a kit?
This solution would be perfect for my brother.

- Of course those are of my wife. Buidling this project got us both into
shape - especially her helping me shingle the roof. The guy driving the
concrete truck was like "is it just you and your wife doing the concrete?"
I was like yup. That was a ***** - almost a truckload of concrete.

- Fertilizer was great deal during end of season clearance at walmart. A few bucks a bag. Bankrupt after finishing this project

- The plans were a modification of another set. I drew them up in Autocad and can e-mail you a copy. I can make them PDF files also just email me.

I am looking to build one about that size in my backyard (well, maybe not QUITE that big, more along the 12x16 size)- if you wouldn't mind shooting me a copy so I could check them out I would really appreciate it.

Very nice project. I am about to change the door on my shed and your doors look exactly like what I'm looking for. Where did you get yours?

I made the doors myself.
They are made from two 4x8 sheets of pywood.
- I layed the plywood flat
- Built a 2x4 frame around the perimeter
- Cut down a sheet of 1 inch foam core board to fit inside the frame
- Cut a piece of OSB and sandwhiched it on top of the foam board
- Put a couple of 2x4 cross braces on the inside and attached it toggether
- Then put the doors in place and installed the hinges.
- The doors secure from the inside with cane bolts going into the concrete
I hope that helps,
Ken

Thanks Ken for the info on those doors. I may have to go this route since I can't seem to find a decent premade door thats affordable.
