I also posted this in the " flooring " section, My question is i have a composite decking section that is buckling up - i used small bottom screw system to secure but that did not work out so well,,,,,,, Can i go back and use special decking screws through the top to draw them down or do i have to replace all the bucking boards? does anyone have a " technique " for securing these wayward deck boards?

sounds like they were installed with no room to expand....composite is like vinyl siding...you might be best served by cutting .25 - .5" off the very end and see how they settle over the next season.

I would NOT try drawing them down, as they will just buckle elsewhere.

Root problem is no room for expansion, solve that before adding more screws.

Let them sit in the sun. Once they have some room they will go back to their flat shape as long as they are sitting on a flat surface.

hot sunny day will do them more good, once they have room to expand. No way to hurry them up that will work. I would not replace them, let the expansion do it's thing.

Can you get to the underside and unscrew the 'system'?

OK, I read the other thread on this. You can cut between the ends and relieve them. Use a small dia blade and finish the edges with a multi tool. You might want to make a shoe for the saw so you can do a safe plunge cut.
