I'm in the process of building a 12x16 dock that will extend out over the water from the bank of a pond behind my house. The dock is a permanent (non-floating) dock and the framework is all steel. There are 3 rows of 3 pipes that were driven down 3'-4' into the pond floor. Each of the rows of posts are connected by 3, 3" x 16' channel iron. 8" c-purlins on 16" centers have been welded across the channel iron to serve as floor joists. The actual dock / deck floor surface will be screwed to these floor joists.
I'm looking for recommendations as to what type of flooring material I should consider. Wood is not an option that I'm considering due to the constant maintenance concerns. The dock will also have a railing on all sides except the bank.
