Unplug it. Take it back or pitch it. Consider yourself educated.
Don't buy HF power tools. I went threw 2 HF drills. I returned it once then the second time i got my money back. HF has it's place, but not for power tools.

Delta makes an affordable Compound Miter Saw I've used mine for about 15 years.

I did check the blade lock it seams ok. Yesterday was the first time in 4 months that I had needed saw, Kind of hard for me to spend money on a good tool when I don't use it very often. I do have Mac, Snap-on wrenches.
Thanks

i'm not being smart but that's pretty typical of HF electrical stuff....

Bought a cheap (is there any other kind) harbor freight 3" belt sander. I hardly use it which why I went w/ HF. So far no issues so I can't complain but I had to laugh when I opened the box. There were extra brushes in it. That told me a lot. SOrta like buying a car and geting spare brake pads. That would make me nervous LOL

Are you saying you can't move the blade by hand? Sounds like the brushes might be stuck to the armature. Just used my Old Orange in subfreezing temps last weekend.
