Compression RMC Coupling for underground

Hi All

Just had my old garage demo'd and new one has to be 1 foot further back (due to set back rules), so electrical will come up about 8 inches from the wall on the inside. The conduit body is about 6 inches off the ground.

Option 1: Leave it where it is. There's going to be shelving where it will come up in new slab, so I could just run conduit back to wall (and box it in), install a service disconnect on wall and live with that.

Option 2: (that doesn't involve digging up 40 foot of pipe), is to dig down outside new slab, saw it off to the length required to get a 90-degree bend to come up outside the wall (as would normally be done).

If I go for option 2 and cut the in-ground RMC, is there compression fitting that is suitable for underground use (as the end will no longer be threaded)?

Any other options that don't involve digging up the whole thing.

Thanks

Mark

There are compression style couplings for rmc. If they are not listed for direct burial you can wrap them with 10 mil tape and bury

Ive never ran into this before so i did some searching. Looks like u should check the info about the couplings first to see if theyre listed for DB(direct bury). Some are some arent.
