I just bought a larger air compressor and air blaster. Now I'm trying to determine the size of air line couplers to use with my 1/2" regulator/filter and 1/2" hose. I found a 1/2" RapidAir kit, but the couplers in the kit are 3/8" or 1/4". Wouldn't the restriction of the couplers cause a reduction of CFM of the compressed air at the blaster?

A bit more information is needed on your compressor. Larger? did you go from 1hp to 3hp or 10hp to 25 hp? What is the CFM rating of the compressor. What is a air blaster? What CFM does it require? Details man, details.

My new compressor has a 5 hp motor, a 60 gallon tank and is rated at 15.5 CFM @ 90 PSI.
My new blaster (AllSource VacBlast Siphon Abrasive Blaster — 125-Lb. Capacity, 28 Gallon, Model# 41700) suggests 15 CFM @ 90 PSI, but is said to work at 11 CFM @ 90 PSI.

The smaller fittings wont matter. It only makes and uses so much air regardless of the hose size on the main, 1/2 or 3/4, the small volume and small tools don't know. Especially with a blaster. Heavy impacts are slightly more sensitive to this as they use more air than the compressor can put out in bursts. Even a common automotive style coupler is rated to pass 35 cfm and your use is 1/2 that. Mechanics been using those for decades till the internet came along.
