Just bought a Hitachi EC89 air compressor for basic use around the house. Came with synthetic 5W50 oil, which seems to be a bit expensive for what it is. Was considering sourcing a decent compressor oil for break-in procedure, then drain and refill with the included Hitachi oil.
Couldn't find any info in the manual regarding a break-in, but plan to do a 20-30 min. one anyway. Hitachi doesn't seem to be the best at returning e-mails. Thanks in advance for any info/recommendations.
