Hey all, got a question for ya compressor gurus. I have a old Speedair 4Z034 it works fine nothing wrong with it. I came accross an 11 Gallon Campbell Hausfeld compressor VS4011...FREE, I am still looking it over, assuming its ok....would I benefit more it I ran both compressors connected together? or if i just used the 11 gallon tank as extra capacity? I don't "need" either necessarily but the smaller tank was FREE so I'd like to put to use if practical?? otherwise I may just sell it.

The smaller compressor is 2hp single phase belt drive unit..its discontinued so I haven't found much more info then that.

I would use them individually until you need a bigger one then sell them at that time.

This gets discussed on a bi weekly basis on here. Depends on how you see a benefit. Having two compressors running of course will give you a greater air usage. The question is though, is it worth the space/hassle/noise/electricity costs.

If you need more CFM you can run them together or you can link the tanks together and run the one but then you may go over the duty cycle and over work it running only one pump. If the one compressors serves your needs then all you need is the one

Well now you're at 2 compressors and only have $80 combined invested !! ;)

If you're overworking the SpeedAire 2HP 20 gal, then by all means put in T and run both compressors if you're die grinding, etc.

You're just about READY for your next compressor . . . 5 HP and 60 gal !! :D

Well the 11 gallon definitely has an issue :-( it will run for a bit then it just locks up like its seized, Can't even turn over by hand. eventually it frees up but something is definetly getting jammed up. Guess Ill be pulling apart the pump :)

When you get her running and if you tee both comps together put a ball valve between as well so you can run one or both for big jobs. Good luck
