Compressor hardline tank fitting reducer

I'm going to be connecting my compressor to a rapid air system and would like to bypass the craftsmen regulator and come right off the tank which has a 1 7/8" threaded fitting that I think I need to reduce to 3/4" to thread a coupler and flexible hydraulic hose before going into my standalone regulator.

Coming up blank on searches but need to know where to buy the fitting and if any of the above makes any sense?!

1 7/8 fitting would be very special- I’m not sure that I have heard of such a thing. Do you have any pics?

How did you measure? Sure it's not 1 1/2? Worked with a bunch of fitters and I've never seen or heard of 1 7/8.

is it a 2" NPT plug you have there ?

1-1/2" pipe OD measures 1.90"...I believe that must be what you have there.

Looks like a 1-1/2" NPT fitting to me...

Cool so what would be a good way to go from 1.5"NPT down to 3/4"? I'm coming up with like a $60 plus fitting... Doesn't seem right?

It isn't. Take that plug with you to an Ace Hwd, a plumin store and some box stores sell reducing bushings. You can get it in 1 step. Get a ****** and a ball valve then the flex line.
