Hello everyone, Pete here in Ohio.Been a member for a while, really haven't posted anything, look everyday though
.
Converted an old 36x86 hay barn into a workshop been working on it for a couple of years, not anywhere finished but usable for now. Ran into a problem with my air compressor and was wondering what you guy's think,
Bought a IR 5hp 60 gallon with an SS5 pump last year at TSC for a decent price, didn't install it right away since I was still building shop. Long story short, shop finally usable and start using it. Compressor has probably less than 1 hr run time. compressor runs fine, but does not build up pressure over 85 psi, tank valve closed, no leaks. compressor does not shut off(makes sense, not hitting cut off pressure) The pump head and motor gets pretty hot, copper line to tank does not. Belt is not slipping. did not have any problems before, ran like a champ. Any suggestions on what to look for? Haven't contacted TSC or IR warranty yet but will on Monday. Would like to get an idea off what might be wrong before I talk to somebody.
Thanks for your time
Pete
