I have a Ingersall Rand 80 gal. tank that has a bad motor(picked it up for $75), I am not ready to fix it just yet but would like to make into a storage tank for extra air during long runs. What do I need to do to convert it into a storage unit that will allow me to fix it later to use as a compressor again>??

yep what Jeepguy sead. One thing is use a bigger line going to to storage tank as if you have a small line on it it will be the main restrection for air flow. i say use atleast a 1/2 line between the 2. you can never have to much air. I have a 5hp 26 gallon compressor got a 80 galon tank for $40 and have a 120 galon tank also on it. motor was blown up on it. and compresser heads going. all hooked togather and i can sand all day long and havent ran out of air yet.
