Compressor Oil Leak Question

I just got a brand new 5hp Ingersoll Rand 60 gallon air compressor. I bought the Ingersoll start up kit and did everything as instructed for start up. It's been about a month and I noticed there appears to be an oil leak that is coming from one of the side drain plugs. This is a bolt I never needed to do anything with at start-up and am concerned if I try to tighten it myself and this does not fix the problem, Ingersoll may claim I did something wrong and now the leak is my fault. What do you guys think, should I take a allen wrench and tighten it up or call there warranty department and let them sort it out. Seems like it should be an easy fix, but don't want to have the finger pointed at me if they can tell I took a wrench to it.

Any thoughts?

If it was me, I would document the issue with my camera, attempt to tighten it, and if it still happens, call IR on Monday. I can not see them denying a warranty claim because you tried to tighten a loose drain plug.

Why not ask the manufacturer how they want it handled? Personally, I wouldn't worry about doing it, but if you're asking...
