Compressor Outlet Pipe Size

Sorry to create another thread for this, but I need some help with my pump hook ups.

The outlet on my 2 stage pump is a 3/4 NPT, can I downsize it to a 1/2 pipe or do I need to stay at 3/4?

the specs on the pump are 17CFM @ 175PSI.

It will work fine with 1/2. The only reason 3/4 is needed is for big air guns, inch drive for truck wheels. My stuff going to manifold is 1/2.
