Compressor Piston Advice

I’ve had this husky compressor for around 8 years I believe and it’s only seen light use, about 8 months ago the valve plate went out , bc it’s Chinese junk, so I put it on the back burner and used my pancake compressor. For whatever reason the valve plate went from 70$ to 27$ so I decided to get it. I’m out here doing the repair and I think I had forgotten that the piston had this hard plastic ring on it to keep a tight air seal but it was damaged went I broke everything down months back so I tossed it. Are there any hacks or rigs to get it going? I’m not sure I can even order the ring by itself from husky so I was hoping someone knows something I don’t but I’m guessing I just have to order one. Thanks for any info

how about a model and serial number so we can look to see if there is a parts diagram.

rings and piston complete with ring & cylinder is very likely available aftermarket
For sure, like I said up top in these situations you usually have to order an entire piece and I found it for 100$ which is crazy considering the whole compressor was a little over 200$ if I’m remembering correctly

That looks like an oil less compressor, you did good to get 8 years out of it.
I mean for a husky I’m lucky to get 3. Definitely not going to toss it over a simple piston ring though, I tend to repair everything I own until there’s no repairing or it isn’t financially feasible

IMHO, Those small compressors have become commodities, I have learned that if they are cheap enough they can become disposable.
