Is it possible to set up a timer to a Quincy QT-5 5hp compressor?
Not up for it running during the night if we forget to turn it off.

Would a Tork 24hr timer work like this?
Tork 1101

or maybe suggest a different type of timer.

Thanks
Ronnie

Imo best bet is to interlock it with the shop's lights.

The timer will work but it doesn't break both poles of the 240vac being a SP "single pole" relay. That stops the motor effectively but you should place labels around stating there's still 120vac present hot-to-ground.

It doesn't need to. The timer can be wired in series with the coil on the starter.

The OP can use one with a much lower load rating that way, too.

This. So long as the compressor operates with a magnetic starter you have the option of low current, low power solutions.

If the pressure switch operates the motor directly then you need to worry about high current etc. If the compressor doesn't have a starter one can be added.

If you get the right version of the Tork timer it's rated for up to a 5hp motor at 240vac so it should work. In your link, pull up the specification sheet for the timer and it shows the different models that are available along with their voltages and the number of contacts.
