Looking to upgrade my old IR Compressor. The old one has served me well but will not fit the needs for my new projects.
Need the new one to fit minimums of
13-14 CFM @ 40
10 CFM @ 90
80 Gallon Tank
2 Stage
5 HP 220V single phase
I am looking at TS4N5 vs a 2340N5V. There does not appear to be much difference between the two. When calling IR they said the pump was different and that there may be difficulty getting parts for the TS. Tractor Supply is only about 30 minutes from my house and I can pick it up. Delivery by common carrier is out of the question due to where I live. Any input greatly appreciated.

The 2340N5V has the look of the T-30 V-twin compressor that's been around for ages and is probably very well understood and sorted out. The difference from the classic model seems to be that the pressure switch is moved up high to save a little more on the copper wire that feeds it.

I'd be a little leery of anything made specifically for Tractor Supply and even states "TS" in the part number as its made to a retail price point.

Regarding getting it shipped, find a friendly business, with a loading dock that can receive the common carrier, and have it loaded on your truck or trailer with a forklift.

If you can get to a harbor frieght you should check out the 60 gal. I have one for a year now, love it. On sale for about 700ish. Think it is 15cfm.

Spend some time on CL. I spent about 3 weeks checking intermittently. Found older T30 2475 with USA compressor for a couple hundred less than the TS or 2340 will run ya. Theyre out there, spend a couple weeks before you spend your money its worth it
