I have recently purchased a new to me Speedaire 60 gal 2 stage compressor and am having a tough time finding any info on it. I have been to Grainger and all they can come up with is a parts diagram, and not a very good one at that. My best guess is that the compressor was made in the 70's and the tag with serial number is MIA. I have heard that Campbell Hausfeld made some for the heads for Speedaire, Is this correct? Does anyone know where I can locate more info? BTW model #3Z494

Yeah that is a pretty common style pump, you shouldn't have any issues getting parts for you. You can also contact your local Speedaire rep, check their website. ;)

The only issue with that is the local Speedaire Rep is Grainger.

Any idea on CFM ratings?

The compressor runs as it should and is in service now. But, it will need some maintenance in the near future.

My bad, I was thinking Champion... It's late Friday and my mind is already thinking about the weekend... ;)

Is there a pressure gauge on the pump in the front there? That might be an older pressure-lube model.

You said 60 gallon 2-stage, so I'm going to guess 5 HP motor... I'm going to guess 14-15CFM @ 175PSI...

That pump looks like a Kellogg American style... If Grainger can't help you maybe digging through their info would help.

There is not a pressure gauge on the pump, but it is the pressure lube model. The one remaining tag recommends 3-5hp, currently a 3hp motor on it now. I will stay with that until something goes wrong with it. The pressure switch shuts off at 120psi and given the age of the unit I will most likely keep it at that. I dont want to risk having the tank blow.
