To everyone who said to turn off the breaker - OFF COURSE I SHOULD HAVE!! and normally do - just forgot 'cause I got rushed out to dinner the night before...damn dinner.
To those that said to plumb in a shut-off before the SBlaster - I bought one today - I can only hope it blew only a short while before hearing it and shutting down. But I'll be putting a note on the exit door to remind me to turn off the unit...
Thanks for all the replies - appreciate all the confidence you have in the unit. As a reward - check my wifes pics in Free Parking!!!:eyecrazy:

I wired one a light in on mine it helps a lot.

The only thing hurt may be your power bill ;)

I have a ball valve at the outlet of the compressor as well as all drops. If I leave town for a few days or more I turn the valve off at the compressor. Otherwise, it's just at the drop that I use. I have all hard lines except for the flexible line from the compressor to plumbing and from plumbing to sandblasting cabinet. Those flex lines are actually hydraulic lines, rated at many thousand psi. Not your typical rubber air hose, but not to say they will never explode ;)
