Well...today I had plans to work on my yard, which was neglected most of the summer due to my schedule.

Nevertheless, this morning was beautiful here in Colorado so I gave the tank a light sanding with 600 grit followed by a dry wiping.

I decided to go with Navy Blue (favorite color) and here is a pic showing just one coat. I'll let it harden for a few days and then give it a wet color sand with 800 grit and then another coat of color.

By the way...I am going to media blast all the tank penetrations (plugs, reducer for the pressure switch, etc.) and wantred to know what the best thread coating to use?

Simple Teflon tape? Pipe Dope? etc?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!
