Hey guys, I am looking to buy a air compressor that would be the best for the money, looking to spend between 2000-2500 dollars. I run a tire machine and air tools in small trailer shop. What would you guys recommend?

This came up recently and there were a lot of recommendations for Champion. Specifically, the VRV5-8 is easily in your price range.

It makes 19.1 cfm at 125psi and comes with a magnetic starter.

It's what I would buy if shopping new. I was about to pull the trigger on one but found something used. Good luck.

I found a Saylor Beal dealer offer to deliver me a 5 HP 80 gallon 2 stage for 2300. I’ve had Champions and they are great compressors, but Saylor is the Cadillac to me. I’d call a dealer and see what they have.

Did that include the mag starter? That's a great deal either way but I noticed the starters are an option on their site.

He can just drive north of Lansing and buy a second or a repaired one from the factory in St, Johns MI.

That's the model I have, a Baldor motor, for my 2-car garage. It's a great unit.
