Anybody wanna share their set up? I just blew my output regulator so I thought I'd see what people are running. I've got 60 gal Husky that I got off of Craig's list. I use it for general purpose air tools and would like to put a water filter and regulator combination on the line. Should probably think about an oiler too. Brands and sources would be helpful.

I have a 70 gallon upright and run a small body shop at my home. I have a sharpe f88 water seperator that has been working for 25 years. You just have to get it far enough away from the compressor to give the water vapor time to condense or the filter will not get it out. In a small garage I used to use, I had a 25' hose I left in the package with fittings on it to act as a condensing coil before the filter.

I'm running an 80 gallon Eaton. Price was pretty good, keeps up with my sanders, paint guns, blast cabinet, all that stuff you would see in a body shop. I also have a couple other compressors as spares in case this one lays down on me that I cycle every now and again, nothing ***** worse than trying to run a body shop when your air compressor dies.

I can't be happier that I went with 3/4" copper lines. I'm near 50' of line and added a Milton filter/reg at the compressor. I have more filters and a dryer but have yet to install them inline. My air is so dry I am happy as is. Will add the items later, but for now its good.

Run my 5 HP compressor air through 3/4" copper tubing at the end of each u section is a ball valve that allows the draining of any built up moisture.

Tubing continues along the upper wall of the shop and is set away from the wall to additional cooling and minimize the amount of dust that build up on the pipe.

Drops are made to the regulators and also use a gate valve for additional draining capability.

Last drop in the line feeding a glass bead cabinet and a pressure sandblasting pot.

This system works well and I have never had any moisture in air drive equipment.

I don't have any photos everything is dirty and hard to see anyway. Right now I have 2 70s 30 gallon 1hp Campbell hausfeld units. They live in the garage attic crawl space, to keep the floor space free (and in case one blows up the damage will be minimal). I mainly just use one, but have the other in case the first starts lagging. Also if I want to do higher quality paint work I use the second compressor. Kind of a poor man's 2 stage setup. I am experimenting with a free mini fridge and some copper tube to act as a dryer when need be.
