Compressor Setup

Hi All,

I am wondering what others have done to setup their compressors in a shop. I want to put a dessicant or coalescing filter on mine but I was told at the parts store that the Norgrens are recommended to have up to 100' of line leading into the filter, I assume to cool the air and encourage the water vapour to condense out.

How have people done this? Do you just buy a 100' roll of hose and hide it behind the compressor? I was thinking of maybe putting in a Rapidair or the like plumbing system once we find a home to buy, would something like that work? What happens if you are plugged in somewhere before you are 25-50' from the compressor? Same issue right?

Any thoughts would be great.

At our old place I had plumbed in a zig zag of copper tubing for the purpose but I didn't have anywhere near 100'. More like 10'.

Hi from new zealand.

Try lookin up the ingersoll rand air compressor site, they have a page on setup.....also look at campbell hausfeild as they do alot on small comps.

If your after setup for painting..... Look up a company called "de-vilbiss" also as they specialise in paint gear ...they are the guru on the matter.
