There is a massive wealth of air compressor knowledge on this forum. I know GJ tries to keep things uncluttered (and it works!) but it would be cool to have all of this knowledge in one place.

yeah thats a good idea.

Often, posts about the electrical side of things on compressors end up leaning towards the mechanical side once all the electrical questions are answered.

Bumping this up.

It'd be a good idea to have a sub-forum in the "The Garage" section named-

Shop Air & Compressors
Discussions relating to air in the garage/shop and air compressors.

I am not a regular on this forum but have always got the answer to my questions and the most recent was about LED lighting and I was amazed at how much better my lighting is now.

We had a sever storm here over the Easter holiday and I was able to get back in the garage yesterday and realized my 220 volt compressor wasn't working properly, it sounds as if it's trying to run on 110, it's sounds very slow when running and I turned off the power imminently.

I posted this on the hamb looking for help but the thread was deleted, the dreaded off topic, I'm a long time member of the hamb but sometimes I feel like some of the moderators get a little heavy handed, I was directed to ask my question on the garage journal.

Not being a regular here I couldn't find a dedicated heading for air compressors, coming from a casual visitor I honestly believe the member that started this thread and the remembers that replied make a valid point about a detected air compressor title.

Anyone want to share a past thread where I might get some help with my problem. HRP

Easy read should get you headed in the proper direction -
What do you do when an air compressor bogs down?
