Hope you guys can help...

I have a 2HP I-R motor and it is running @ 115V,15A now, and it can be wired for 230V @7.5A so im going to do that to keep the amps down.

Do i connect the PRESURE switch different than it is now at the 115?

Its a Square D Model 9013FHG12 its marked as: L1 T1 T2 L2

I have now @ 115V, " L1= WHITE T1= MTR WHITE T2= MTR BLK L2= BLK."

Is again, the 230 connected different than above? i dont want a sparky :shocking:

So if you can help, i need it! Thanks for all your help as always! Dave.

You need to look at the motor nameplate, it is where you have to reconnect to change the voltage, post a picture of the plate and more help will be forthcoming.(There also could be one under the terminal block cover instead of the data plate).

Thanks for the reply Norcal...

I did the 115 to 230 swap in the motor and its wired right or at least per the instuctions as you said on the name plate. I pluged it in with just the motor and no pressure switch and it runs fine!

I have since hooked it to the "pressure switch" the same way as the 115V was, that is:

L1 TO WHITE WIRE FROM POWER
T1 TO WHITE WIRE FROM MOTOR
T2 TO BLACK WIRE FROM MOTOR
L2 TO BLACK WIRE FROM POWER

Guess what i need to know (or needed?) is that the connections to the pressure switch are correct?????

It does run fine.

Im thinking it must be right as the motor would not work or the forth of july would be at my place a little early!

Thanks !!

The pressure switch wiring is unchanged on either 120V. or 240V. Just make sure each leg is on opposite sets of contacts otherwise you have a line to line short.
