I just got a used 60 gal upright compressor it had some water in it when i got it i wanted to remove the inspection plugs from the side and look in

I went and borrowed my Dads 3/4 inch breaker bar but it was to small so went back today and borrowed his 3/4 to 1 inch adapter but its to big ?

I looked briefly at pipe plug sockets but didn't see any that big

It is around 7/8 inch is there a way to get these off with out buying a expensive socket i will probably never use again

A 3/4 drive breaker bar and and 5 or 6 feet of pipe always worked for me. If you don't have a socket that big and don't want to buy one, find someone with a borescope or similar to get a look inside the tank.

But your in Or. so it's a little far away. I'd let ya use it (it's an oldie)

My sugg. go to a fab shop or scrap yard, get a hunk of 1" square and grind to fit.

Thats what i was thinking was get some square stock and make it fit

Or weld something on there to grip with a pipe wrench or big Crescent wrench
