Compressor to Filter-Regulator, Copper, Black Pipe, Etc?

When I built my detached garage about 10 years ago, I ran a short 3/8" hose to the filter and regulator. From there on...it goes via RapidAir to two hose reels and a blast cabinet on the second floor. I also send air to the HD-9 for the locks from the upstairs feed.

If I run the compressor a lot...like when blasting...and it's humid....I eventually get moisture coming out of the blasting nozzle. I've never had a problem anywhere else that I know of.

When I see this moisture, I can drain out the filter...but I assume that the moisture is in the lines too.

(Why this all comes up now....I've restored a Eco TireFlator that had some rust inside from moisture in the air feeding it. I was planning to put a filter directly in front of this unit, and will need to run an airline to it.)

I now realize that I should've put some distance between the compressor and the filter. My first thought is to build a "radiator" from copper tubing or black pipe that can mount to the wall behind the compressor for the air to flow through enroute to the filter-regulator, with a short drop and ball valve to drain. (I assume a length of air hose will not do the same thing.)

Should I make this out of copper or black pipe? I've never sweated copper, but have been wanting to learn.

Or, am I better off leaving as-is, and adding a filter directly ahead of the blast cabinet and TireFlator?

Thanks for the thoughts, guys.

Each compressor is different but from reading info on mineit needs roughly a minimum of 50 ft before any points of use. Plus my compressor already has an after cooler on it before air goes into the tank. So I used a combo of black pipe and reinforced rubber hydraulic line..but i also put in a couple ball valves to let out any water...the pic I added shows te setup for my first water separater and filter...i get water at the 1st ball valve but I have not seen any out of the second one before going into my main trunk line..b3bd0dc509b6637f86547cbe1b75944e.jpg
