Ok sorry newbie and not sure exactly what i'm going to need to purchase to be all set. I am deployed do but want to order everything now because i get back in a month and have a lot of projects to do on the car. Anyway just wondering what fittings etc i'm going to need etc. I'm looking to pick up an ir gun and ir rachet. Not sure if there are diff fitting sized i have to be aware of etc. Since oilless i believe that means no need for one of those filters. Anyone with input please feel free.

This is the compressor

I would avoid oil less compressors. Maybe wait till you get back and think about a 220v 60 gallon if you have alot of projects ahead. I think it sounds like you might need a little more than 3.8 CFM.

I agree with DannyG, I have the craftsman 33 gallon oil less and it is so loud when filling up gets to be annoying. Car projects tend to make it work quite a bit as well. I moved up to the IR 60 gallon 10 times quieter and fills up quicker and handles everything I need it to, my best purchase I have made to date.

You'll need some quick release fittings. You'll also need a larger diameter hose than that recoil one. I'd say a 25' 3/8 hose or longer, depending on what you need. Then you'll need a male and female quick release fittings for either end of the hose. Does that compressor have a female quick release output that you can connect directly to? If so the order will go:
female QR (on compressor) -> male QR on one end of hose -> hose -> female QR on other end of hose -> male QR threaded into base of air tool. You'll have to decide what kind of QR you want. With that compressor I don't really see a need to go with 3/8 fittings, I'd just stick to 1/4", then you just have to decide automotive or industrial. Whatever you get, just keep everything either all automotive, or all industrial. If you go to a Tractor Supply, Lowe's or Home Depot they should have an assortment of all the fittings and you can get it all in one place.

You can run almost any 3/8 or 1/2 impact with that compressor. Yo will not be able to run them long however....

I had to use my DeWalt air nailer compressor for while when my other compressor crapped out. The tank was smaller than yours but it worked for tire changes, general repair, airing up tires, etc. The volume from the tank was not enough to run them long without letting the compressor catch up but it does work.

Just don't get into a big hurry with it or expect that compressor to keep with a LVHP paint gun or a 3/4" or larger impact gun, air grinder, die grinder, cutoff wheel or similar high volume tools though.
