Hello folks,
I don't post often but wanted to share this with you.
I follow the local industrial auctions and came across this California Air Tool Ultra Quiet 20 gal. 4HP 220VAC 1Ph, auto drain, 98% air dryer, after cooler.
The pictures looked decent. It showed the SN. Won the bid at $703 + commission. I went higher than I wanted but knew that it was bought in 2022 and was completely serviced the beginning of this year. It looks and runs flawlessly. I just had to blow some dust off it. I'll add an hour meter to it.
My son and I have a small hobby shop. I had a 20-gal Husky and he had a 60-gal DeWalt, both deafening when running. We've both sold ours which bought the acquisition cost of the CAT unit down to about $250.
The auctions take a little patience but can yield some good results.
I told my wife that my son and I are going to start attending AAA (Auction Addicts Anonymous).
