Start with the simple, check your plug and wiring connections, is the motor getting full voltage and amps that it needs. A broken wire my read 110v but will be unable to provide the current flow to keep the motor spinning. If you turn the motor on and only a loud humming noise is heard then the start up capacitor is probably the culprit. If the motor struggles or won't restart when the tank is pressurized then the unloader valve could be at fault. If the motor struggles as the pressure builds it could be the tank pressure valve OR the motor has an electrical problem i.e. poor connection. low amps or low voltage
