Compressor won't start

I have a Husky compressor. I had to replace the fan. It ran fine before I removed the top. I still runs with the top off but when I replace the top the motor will not run. Any ideas?

It looks like the switch might be integrated into the protective shroud. Is replacing the shroud somehow affecting the switch?

the switch getting pushed or whatever makes sense. are you aligning the shroud carefully & back where it originally was?
