Concentric vertical venting question

Hello,
I bought a Sterling 75k heater for my garage along with the concentric vent kit. My original plan was to go horizontal, but since the garage is all hip roof I would have to drop the heater low to make the 3 foot minimum for the flue to the soffit clearance, so vertical I must go.

My garage ceiling is drywalled with blown in insulation. Can I mount the concentric vent box to the ceiling and pass the flue pipe up through the roof from there with all the associated parts? Has anybody done this? I think this might be my first post, so please be kind. I have read the instructions multiple times, but cannot come up with a clear answer.

To answer your question: Yes, I am almost positive you can. I am doing a similar install in an 8' ceiling garage with plenty of overhang, but no hip-roof. I opted to change up the ideal mounting situation and make it work horizontally. Couldn't find the link but do search "DIY Apprentice" on youtube. The guy is a very thorough novice and has a few good videos. He vents his Beacon Morris/Sterling vertically with a concentric vent box.

Thank you, I watched that video a couple times. He does go vertical, but goes out the roof, no ceiling involved.

The advantage of concentric venting is that the cold outdoor combustion air is on the outer pipe and as such it protects combustibles close to the pipe. I have not read your units venting requirements. Nothing any of us say can supercede those instructions. The installation instructions will tell you the necessary components to use in this case. The vent manuf offer the components necessary to complete the install safely.

I understand what you are saying, but my question is not really addressed in any of the literature, at least that I can find. The instructions don't mention passing through a ceiling. I assure you,I will use all the appropriate pipe and materials to do the job as described in the instructions. I think I will just contact sterling.
