Looking to put the house on the market next spring, so I am going to start tackling the honeydew list. First thing is small cracks in the concrete around the pool and the front porch. Whats the best thing to use and fill them with?

Thanks for the info. Does the color blend in pretty well?

I've tested various things to fix my driveway cracks, but by springtime, they are gone. Fail: hydraulic cement, regular mortar, JB Weld, epoxy, tile grout, caulk gun concrete crack filler. Tile grout with 1776 additive was the closest to holding up in pock marks.

When we sold our house in Naperville a couple of years ago, the sidewalk had several cracks.

The Realtor advised us to leave them alone, as any attempt to repair them simply makes them more noticeable.

The house sold in a few days.

I tend to think the same way. Unless you want to replace all the cracked sections, I would just leave them alone.

Crack weld blends in well. May be more cost and effort then what you may want to do.

You can sweep stone dust in the cracks to dress them up a little bit. If you don't like how it ends up looking, you can just vacuum it out.

Attempting to fix them will probably bring more attention to them especially if they are small. Ever notice small cracks in a sidewalk or only the giant ones you trip on, at least that's what I do . If you are dead set on filling them in with the crack blend stuff you can get a small back of mortar and sprinkle some on top to help replicate the concrete color. It's like the old carpenters trick with wood glue and saw dust. Good luck!
