Having 2700 square feet of 4000 psi concrete poured here soon. I have been looking into coating it but have read the stories of boom and bust of the various coatings. I have been looking at Ghost shield 9500 product line. It appears to give me what I'm looking for but...
These products are supposed to penetrate the cement and bond chemically with it. It will help fill the voids and create a water barrier. Claims of up to 6 inches of penetration. Well, anybody have any insight good, bad or ugly?
About $500 to cover all of it.

I used a densifier/sealer on my new shop floor last year. If you want an easy to clean concrete floor this is the way to go, its glossy and smooth. I have spilled quite a bit of oil, coolant and even some solvents, all have cleaned up easily, even power steering fluid that set for 2 weeks, although that left a slight dark spot.

By itself it is not very decorative or 'pretty', but that wasn't what I wanted.

Curious what is the wait time before putting down product after concrete is set?

The product I'm looking at state as soon as possible. But still looking at other products like this. I also posted in the flooring section but this one has the traffic numbers.

I have used a densifier, radon someting or another. You wet the concrete with water, then apply the product when the concrete is wet. I have a small hairline crack in my basement in the utility room. When we get a heavy rain or days of rain, you could see dampness around that crack. No drips no water running down the wall. After applying the product, no more moisture.

I used a densifier on my new shop floor and it works well. Most things clean up easily. Paint overspray not so much, but spills have cleaned up easily.
