Moved into a new house a couple months ago. Driveway & walks were poured in 2004. Not sure if they have ever been sealed since, but everything is in overall good shape. I pressure washed the entire thing and plan to seal it before the bad weather and salt gets here in NE Ohio. Looking for product recommendations?

Similar. Searching turns up some real old threads but I'm not having any luck getting much input on my thread either

This board is pretty hit/miss. Sorry I don't have an answer for you and it's too bad that someone that does won't chime in.. I had the same issue with a few questions I had on here.

I am on a similar quest for my newly poured garage floor. Menards has H&C(think they are owned by Sherwin Williams) and Lowes has Olympic.
Both are water base, think I am going with the H&C.

No spear-y-ence with this specifically but I might be inclined to look at Thompson Water Seal. I've used it for different applications and has worked for that well.

Concrete Sealer

I used Eagle Natural Seal on the concrete slab in my barn.

It's available from Home Depot, $78.92 for a 5 gallon pail. Shipped to your door for free.

It doesn't change the look of the concrete, just seals it.

Water beads up nicely.

When I was installing my lift about a quart of fluid (Auto Trans Fluid) leaked out onto the floor, I cleaned it up, you can't tell it ever happened.

H&C says wait 28 days after poured, Olympic says 60 days and Eagle does not say.
How long would you wait?

I went to a contractor supply store and bought something that was $150 for 5 gal. It worked fine, but eventually it weathers away. Some use Thompson's and it works well and leaves a glossy finish. You need to reapply it every year or two. The main thing is to try to keep road salt off the concrete.

28 days....

45 days- if it's anything like Rustoleums "Time until fully cured"

I went out an took a picture of the instructions on the 5 gallon bucket I still have from when I applied Eagle Natural Seal... "Fresh concrete should be cured 7 days prior to application".

I waited 28 days for the concrete to cure.... not due to the sealer spec's.

I bought some concrete sealer/waterproofer at HD last year for something, I honestly forget. I sealed a few things with it and you could definitely tell it was used when it rained. I considered buying more of it and doing the house garage floor.

It wasn't expensive and came in a gallon jug but I really don't know how long it would last. Being cheap enough I figured it was worth a try.

I'm looking to do the same on my driveway, but cost is a factor, my driveway is almost 2000 square feet.
My big concern is that it is also an 8 degree incline, is there a sealer out there that won't make it any slipperier when wet or has snow on it?

The silane/siloxane sealers actually penetrate the concrete... no change in traction as far as I can tell.

After applying the Eagle Natural Seal and letting it dry you can't even tell it's there... until water is poured on the concrete... and it beads up.
