Concrete Experts Please Help

I have a question about covering some mismatched concrete. This is an exterior porch by my front door that has two VERY different colors of concrete on it. I need suggestions as to the best way to cover this up with something that will last a very long time. Here are the details:

• concrete is outside (so I need something that will last outdoors)
• will be exposed to sunlight (therefore epoxy is out??)
• needs to be a solid color since the concrete is different colors (I think this rules out concrete stain??)
• I want it to last as long as possible
• Its only 30 or so sq feet
• is under a covered porch but may get some moisture in it
• I live in new mexico, so humidity isn't much of a factor

What specific products and brands would you recommend? What ones should I stay away from?

I have the usual big box stores around here and can easily purchase something there, but I'm not against ordering something if its that much better.

I too live in NM. You will just have to accept that nothing survives the sun here especially horizontal surfaces! Given it's only 30 SF, it won't be hard to plan to re-do whatever you do every couple years or so.

Plus its under a covered porch, so it gets minimal sunlight throughout the day.

Would concrete paint hold up here?

I would like to keep the cost of this project minimal (less than $70 total). For as little size as it is, I could jack the slab out and re-pour it all for about that probably. The reason for the color variation is that I cut the concrete to have that gate installed and the new concrete is much darker even after 2 months. I'm not sure if this is related to the fact that they added calcium to the mix?

Everything has a lifetime here and it's usually significantly less than most places. Something you might consider would be to break it out and repour with colored concrete. Otherwise, I think you could paint or similar but plan to do it every year or every other year. I haven't personally painted concrete and seen it's longevity so it's hard for me to say what sort of lifetime you may get out of it.
