I have been trying to figure out what to do to my garage floor for quite some time. I cannot keep it clean, it has a rough broom finish. Basically Im wondering if I could just clean it really good and put on epoxy to get a smooth cleanable surface? Can some of the experts chime in and let me know if this is a plausable route?

I would acid etch it at least if you cannot grind it. Putting a nice thick epoxy coat would definitly help with cleaning it. It most likely wont take all the roughness out of it but it will be WAY better than it is and youll be able to keep it clean.

Hi, epoxy will be reasonably expensive, just knock of all hi spots apply tile mortar and slap on some terra-cotta or white ceramic tiles....this is cheaper and more durable, if surface gets wet seasonaly? Just use non slip tiles.

The color choices are endless....if u want nostalgia u can use squares of red and white or black chequre board pattern to suit.
