I am at the next stage, hopefully pouring the floor here soon. How much fall (slope) from the back to the front of the pole barn should I have?, my PB is 30' deep and 48' wide. My finished floor height inside the building will be higher than my finished metal outside, I was going to put a 3' apron out front.
I think I might have an elevation problem, but I didnt know it until now?

I have a 30x60 work shop, I went with no slope.
I do have sloped approaches at each of the overhead doors to keep the rain moving away from the door seal.

the need for a sloped floor depends on the purpose of the building.
Livestock, lotsa slope so you can muck easier.
Autos and woodwork, usually no slope.

1/4 inch of fall per foot for good natural drainage of water is needed or 1/8 inch if helped pushed out. About 7.50 inches of fall in 30 feet if my math is kosher in my bounced around head. :D . jmo.

doubt you want or need fall on the floor with the exception of the apron.

the concrete should be higher than the bottom of the outside metal. Usually 1 1/2" or more.

That's what I wasn't sure of, the metal outside will be approx 4" lower than the finished floor. I guess I will have it slope down out the door onto the apron out front?

If you want the water to run out the door then you need at least a little bit of slope. If you don't usually get water on the floor then it doesn't matter if the floor is sloped or not.
