Hey everyone,
Last winter I started remodeling my garage and decided I will be eventually doing epoxy floors. I now changed my mind and decided on doing porcelain tiles. Primarily because my existing 50+ year old concrete seen better days and I think that going the tile route will require less time and $ for preparation.
What type of prepping am I looking at? I see the previous owner painted it red but majority of that finish is gone.
When I bought the house, the garage had paneling on walls, old wooden kitchen cabinets for storage, about 24 shelves EVERYWHERE, and 1 light bulb in the middle for lightening. Also let's not forget the drainage... it was a french drain that just went about 18" into the ground. This cause my entire garage to be flood during winter if I ever parked my car with snow.
Not the best pics of the floor but it might help.
