Concrete flooring for garage

Hi all,

There is a small piece of land lying near my home. Planning to convert it into a garage.
The place was initially used for gardening, but now it is lying unused from a long time.
So, first and foremost, I need to get a strong concrete floor there. I want it to be durable and fire resistant as well. It should be properly installed and protected against damage because I want to last for a long time.

Would like to know if this is a time consuming process? And any suggestions for a good concrete flooring professional team?
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Thanks.

You need to talk to some local builders. Decide WHAT kind of garage you want to build (pole style or stick built) then talk about budget, site prep and intended use.

I'll second what astroracer said. Start by determining budget, size and framing system. A good concrete floor is important but probably not your first priority at this point. Give my guide to floor slabs below a read for an overview of the process. It might help you be prepared when the time comes. Good luck with your project.
